General

What browsers work with the Cuelist tools?

Chrome 89+ and Edge 89+ support the Web Serial API required by the Flasher and Editor. Firefox and Safari do not currently support Web Serial.

Does Cuelist work on iPad or iPhone?

No. The Web Serial API is not supported on iOS or iPadOS as of this writing. Use a desktop or laptop computer.

Can I use Cuelist without a computer on stage?

Yes. Once you've synced your setlist to the pedal, you can disconnect USB entirely. The pedal operates standalone, sending MIDI from stored memory.

MIDI

My amp isn't switching presets. What's wrong?

Check the following:

1. MIDI cable is connected to the correct port on your amp (MIDI IN, not THRU or OUT)
2. The channel setting on the Cuelist matches the channel your amp is listening on (or use OMNI)
3. The preset number in the Cuelist matches the preset index on your amp (some amps are 0-indexed, some are 1-indexed)

My CC message isn't doing anything.

Verify the controller number in the Cuelist matches the CC number your device is programmed to respond to. Check your device's MIDI implementation chart.

Can Cuelist send SysEx messages?

Not in the current firmware. SysEx support is on the roadmap.

Firmware

The flasher can't find my device.

Make sure you're using Chrome or Edge. Open chrome://settings/content/serialPorts and verify the Cuelist isn't blocked. Try a different USB port or cable.

The flash failed halfway through.

Enter recovery mode: disconnect the pedal, hold the footswitch while reconnecting USB (keep holding for a few seconds) until the device shows the recovery pattern, then retry the flash.

What if I accidentally flashed the wrong firmware?

The pedal will not boot if the firmware is invalid or corrupted. Repeat the recovery mode process and flash the correct firmware.

Editor

My song bank is empty after opening the editor.

The editor saves to localStorage in your browser. Check that you're on the same browser and haven't cleared browser data. To protect your data, use the Export feature to save a JSON backup.

I can't drag songs into my setlist.

Drag-and-drop requires a pointer device (mouse or trackpad). Touch-drag on mobile is not currently supported.
